Introduction

The Institute was started in the year 2008 with intake capacity of 36 seats in two trades. At present the institute have intake capacity of above 288 seats year in 6 different trades of six months to one year duration and 1 trade of six months to two year duration. Institute has very rich landscape area with plenty of trees and many gardens in the compound providing a nice atmosphere for training. Institute has rich Library, Canteen, Parking, Good Machinary and Generator Facility. The Institute conducts different engineering and non-engineering courses. History

Akal Industrial training centre village Alladad chak Teh sultanpur lodhi Distt. Kapurthala being running under Akal Academy International Society. This society has opened a school named Akal Academy International in 1995 which are started with 85 students only. In 18 years of the grand success this society got the name of Akal group of institutions. In 2008, this society established akal industrial training centre. In 2008, this institution has introduced two units electrician and copa and in 2010 two units of welder, carpenter and plumber and one unit of diesel mechanic, hair and skin care were introduced. In this way during the time period of 5 years this institution got the affiliation for six units of welder, four units electrician, two units plumber, carpenter and diesel mechanic each two units of copa and one unit of hair and skin care. Apart from this, in 2009-10 this society has got affiliation from C.B.S.E for nursery to 9th standard under the name of akal galaxy convent school. The main motive of the society is to provide qualitative education to the students. To achieve this motive more practical training is given to the I.T.I students. In a very short period of time this society has tried its best to provide quality education to near about 2200 students of all three institutes. The Institute has total area 5556 Sq. Mtrs including Covered Area, Class Room Area, Drawing Hall Area, Audio/Visual Hall Area, Computer Lab Area, Play Area, Library Area. The Institute running since last 5 year. There are seven trades running under (Craftsmen Training Scheme) in NCVT. These trades Welder, Mech.Diesel, Electrician, Carpenter, Copa, Plumber, Hair & Skin Care are available in this Institute. The Institute is functioning in one shift commencing from 8.30 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. The Institute is not only engaged in training activates but also performing successful activities such as Blood Donation Camp, Extra-Curricular activities, Sports Activities, Workshop Seminars. The Chairman of the IMC is from private industry and another six members are from private industries who are taking keen interest in the training of the students.As a result the members of the IMC as well as the local industries are playing a significant role in running the ITI.
